enhancing our community through the performing arts

A Source for Locally Produced Performing Arts In Bethel, Maine

BPAP Navigation mission events news

The Bethel Performing Arts Project is dedicated to promoting the Bethel Area by vigorously working to convince the business community and the many, many non-profit organizations that have sprouted up in the locality, that utilizing and associating themselves with a performing arts event is good for business and the community. It's a hard sell, but we are still preaching the message and we hope that in whatever community you live, you will support the performing arts and more importantly, their business sponsors. The unique partnership of arts and commerce is important to the life of any community. The current economic conditions leave many of us feeling down and wishing for better times and some sign of hope. Welcome to our world, where you can lose yourself for a night and be entertained for no, or real cheap money. It is our hope to provide these experiences to the community, but we cannot do it without the help of our business and non-profit neighbors. Please pass the word that the partnership of arts and commerce has value to you and your community.

The Bethel Community Players - Mystery Murder Dinner Theater at The Bethel Inn - May 11 and 12

Mothers will have a unique treat to feast on over Mother's Day weekend as the Bethel Community Players return to the Bethel Inn for two dinner theater performances of the Tim Kelly Murder Mystery/Comedy "The Butler Did It." Tickets are available now from The Bethel Inn (800-654-0125 or 207-824-2175, info@bethelinn.com) and Timberlake's Home Store (1-800-780-6681 or 207-824-6545, info@stimberlake.com)

The Bethel Community Players are no strangers to the dinner theater. Their previous productions were sellouts and were the talk of the town for days. Their first production of an original play, was the premier of "The Legend of Lefty" and was performed over two days at the Bethel Inn Conference Center. The Victoria Inn hosted the Player's next dinner theater in an intimate dining setting. "Good Help Is Hard To Murder" (cast photo above) was creatively staged among the diners in Bethel's Main Street landmark inn.
